The Blohm&Voss BV 141 is an interesting aircraft. Despite the asymmetrical layout it had excellent flight characteristics and I have read that Erich Klöckner, the chief test pilot for the program, even looped it. Before it could enter regular service it was succeeded by the FW 189, which is also a very unconventional design. But I think the BV 141 is in the top range of unconventional aircraft.
