Hi folks, hope everybody is well and coping with the global shut down!

I thought that this might be a good time to post some images of the new project - I tried earlier but it wouldn't work, but have now solved the problems I've been having with the site. All pictures are WIP of course, along with animations. Projected launch date, if all goes well, will be May 1st 2020. Once again, this will not be a study level airplane but instead be aimed at those who want to enjoy flying rather than button pushing - that said, it'll look and handle as close to the real thing as I can manage.

Enjoy, and I'll be posting updates here more often now that everything appears to be working again

Great job on the modelling and keeping with your "get in and fly" concept. Is the Mud Hen coming with full backseat VC like your -18F/G Bugs?

I already foresee some repaints. 32 Tactical Fighter Squadron was based at Soesterberg, Netherlands during the cold war. The last aircraft they flew from Soesterberg was the F-15. (And I was there as well).

It was a sort of weird reason the USAF did send 32TFS to the Netherlands, but they were very welcome and stayed for for 40 years (1954-1994)

Cheers,
Huub

Yep, the full treatment for the WSO position, with fully functional MFDs right from the outset this time.

Those were some great schemes on the "A" model! I'm sticking strictly to "C" version schemes with the package, but once again a paint kit will be included for repainters to enjoy :)

The first F15 they, which replaced the F4 Phantoms in 1978 at Soesterberg was indeed the A version. But somewhere they received the C version (already before 1981). The last version they flew from Soesterberg in 1994 was the D version..... (from 1989 onwards).

Cheers,
Huub

Luckily we still have the pictures: https://nimh-beeldbank.defensie.nl/foto-s/detail/3868ab1c-ab92-2afe-6a3b-7d3591f3a175

Looks great, really looking forward to these birds...long overdue the F-15s. Any plans for the D version too?

No plans for a D model I'm afraid, at least not at the moment. I have to keep the projects manageable - still, I'll have a quick look at the shapes as it might be possible to convert the E back into a D without too much trouble given the considerable similarity between the versions.

ETA: We have a plan for this now, leave it in my capables :jump:

In the future, not now, maybe a year or so down the road, I would love to see a payware F-15EX (It would have to be a separate pay package because of all of the changes). The EX has a cockpit similar to the F-35, with large area displays, and it uses the outboard wing pylon station since it has fly by wire as well. Just saying. I'm happy with the package you're releasing.

BTW, for the F-15I, also maybe in the future, include the satellite up-link antenna (small dome) behind the cockpit. It's just a cool feature.

Thanks,
Ken

A bit like this one? :wavey: The "I" Eagles will also have feathered exhausts when they're finished, unlike the USAF C and E models.

Add my vote for a "D" model, if it would be reasonable. It's the one fighter jet I've actually flown in, so it would be awesome to recreate the back-seat experience. :)

With the C-model Eagle, this is a sure buy for me!!

I concur with Huub: CR tailcodes (and BT) would be greatly appreciated!

Both Bitburg and Soesterberg used the C-models, and both are/were iconic in the cold war period!

I'll add them to the list. In many ways, the F-15s are easier to texture than many types as they often shared the same base colours, so hopefully I can include quite a few textures without incurring too much extra work.

The "D" is confirmed as definitely being part of the package, but it may be released a little after the initial main launch depending on how Just Flight want to play it - sounds a bit cryptic I know but they have some pretty cool ideas so I'm going with the flow at the moment.

You know, if you just include a paintkit, I'm pretty sure that the talented repainters will have a ball with this pack!! ;)

Oh awesome, you are including the satellite up link. I'm going to have to paint one of these in in Rebel Forces colors and give that satellite up link cover an R2D2 paint scheme. :biggrin-new:
