Anybody looking for a free 24 inch monitor

Last night I was rewiring the bird nest behine the desk and when I was pushing it back it tipped over and all three 24 inch monitor fell off the desk along with everything that was on top of the desk....I cried.....only one monitor ended up with a cracked screen....does that suck or what.:isadizzy::a1451:

I think maybe some Velcro strips attached to desk and monitors might be a good idea, :ernae:
 
Moe, that does suck.

I have a protective cage around mine, sort of... let me explain.

My old monitor, a 19" tube, sat on my desk, by a window. Well, see, the pet cat got used to laying on the nice warm monitor by the window and looking out, especially in the winter (even though it doesn't get that cold around here)

One day, my old Viewsonic 19" bit the dust. Time for a wide screen flat panel. Now I knew that cat would have to get used to the idea that she couldn't lay up there anymore. I showed her the top, behind it. Carefully coaxed her to jump up and down out of the window sill. She actually got used to the idea. Then she forgot. Well now I have a custom made shelf I made, stained and varnished to match the desk, with a padded top, straddling my LCD monitor, and securely fixed to the desk so it won't move. SPOILED CAT.
 
Moe, that sucks!!

Years ago, when I still drank, I had left a glass of wine on top of my tv (I know, stupid move). Anyway, you guessed it, I managed to tip the glass over, and the wine went right into the vents on the top of the tv. I moved quick to unplug the tv, but everything seemed to be in slow motion. The weird thing was, the tv worked longer than a couple seconds before the wine short-circuited it. The picture changed colors, then a popping sound, and then that awful electrical wire burning smell as I unplugged it. Thankfully, that tv was an el-cheapo; but a perfect example of what-not-to-do with liquids and electronics!!!

And I always thought I was a bit anal for leaving a metre of space behind my bench ................:faint:...................and running all my cables and wiring through looms!!
Then again moe, two saves out of three is better than none out of three!!!!
 
That's a real shame Moe. I'll take it...... one of the good ones if you don't mind.

I don't want that busted up stuff that leaks. Besides, you didn't say it was the busted one that was free. ;) :costumes:

There, we fixed his butt Cratermaker. I bet he got em all fer free in the first place. :rolleyes: He's always sayin he uses da wife's credit card. :costumes:
 
I hope you didn't get burnt monitor smell. That's gotta be one of the top 10 worst smells ever.
