The Ar 68 was a biplane the Germans used for training and later 1939 to 1940 as a night fighter. in Mannheim Sandhofen new airfield in 1937 the were some of them based there and flew from the airfield and Autobahn. I can not seem to find any of the aircraft for CFS2 or FS2004. Is there any models been made for this aircraft. the Germans sent a lot of them to Spain during the civil war. :dizzy::dizzy::pop4:

Hello-

As far as I know, there hasn't been one of these done, at least not that I've ever run into... too bad! It would be nice to have a decent version of this- if I remember reading correctly, a fair amount of German pilots liked these better than the He-51's that replaced them.

P.S. oops, I was thinking of the Ar 65... I guess the Ar 68 was intended to replace the He 51. Just the same, It would be nice to have one...

Hi Guys,
I had a trawl about and no, it's not been done! Not even for IL-2, which is surprising.

There is an X-Plane version which I may take a look at it sometime...so watch this space....;)

Happy Christmas!

I was a soldier in the the 8th Cav. in Coleman Barracks. When I was there, C troop ran past the entrance to the underground Hangers during our forced marches, which I tried to get in but the Germans flooded at the end of the war. The Army closed them off and used them for a rifle range. Our tanks were parked on a concrete place we called the spider. The Ar 68's were parked there in the past. I dated a girl in Sandhofen who's father was there during the war and he told me about the hangers and tunnels that ran across the base. In the middle seventies I was with the 1st div. in Goeppingen and came across the same setup for the He111's. This history is very interesting for me. Thanks :dizzy::dizzy::pop4:
