• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

Yes, the long-time home of the Frasca family's warbirds. Spitfire Mk.XVIII TP280 used to be based/flown from there, until it was sold several years ago to Hangar10/Air Fighter Academy in Germany. The Frasca family's Wildcat and P-40E still remain based/flown from C16, and the family owns another Spitfire Mk.XVIII, HS653, that has been under restoration in California.

Spitfire Mk.IX MJ730, as seen in the screenshots, is based at the incredible Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia, but there hasn't been a detailed version of that airfield produced yet (it would be amazing if it were! - art deco hangars, WWI hangars, a genuine WWII English control tower, a genuine WWII Luftwaffe hangar, grass runway, etc...).

Can I make a suggestion to the powers that be, it should be required that when someone posts an image of an aircraft in a sim, you should ALWAYS include the name of the model and who made it? Give credit where its due and give us a clue as how we can find it.
