• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

P3DV5.3 Hot Fix Released

So not only hotfix installation? I installed this just Monday and now full install! With all the settings done and addons installed...oh no.

Thanks for the head's up, bought a few days ago and just started the migration process from my v4.5 HF3 install (not bad using Lorby manager). Have to starting writing notes down, just got MSFS last month!

THe P3D website states:
The Client and Scenery installers are required for the fixes present in Prepar3D v5.3 Hotfix 1. Therefore, the Content and SDK installers are optional.

So, there is no need for a "Full" re-install, unless you want to.

Don't overlook the suggestion to:
If Prepar3D was installed before updating to the hotfix it is strongly recommended to run the “Delete Generated Files” shortcut in Prepar3D’s installation directory after installing the hotfix and before running Prepar3D for the first time. This will revert Prepar3D to its default settings but may also impact the installation of add-ons.
