If you'd like a VC Light in your TR B-25's add this to the end of the Aircraft.cfg

[LIGHTS]
panel= 0.00, 0.75, 3.00, fx_vclight
//Lateral (m), vertical (m), longitudinal (m)

The little lady...

....needs her accessories. Thanks.

I've...

....avoided this Effect in the past because of the 'flickering', but it occurs to me that I might have a corrupted FX file.

Anyone else see a flicker in the vclight? :kilroy:

I've no flicker on mine TR. If you like, could send ya a fresh, stock, vc_light.fx file...

Please do....

....I'd love to have one that works properly. I think you have the address.

flickering vc light

TR....check to see if your effects quality in image settings is on high....anything less will cause flickering. :isadizzy:

Yes.....

...that was it. Thanks. I got a new version of the vclight and that didn;t help. I figured it was something in Settings.

I had for some...

...reason changed the Effects Setting to Medium, which causes a 1-2 second blinking cycle in the vclight. :caked:

Alternate VC Panel...

TR,

Glad you got the light fixed....

I've been workin on an alternate VC panel for your B-25 models. Below is a pic of the work in progress. Need to add a few more gauges and perhaps a gun sight (maybe one of Psulleys U.S. rectaciles would work nicely). Perhaps, with your permission, I could get together a package of your B-25 models and upload them with the VCs. The VC was installed using scasm code converted from the model with Ivan Hsu's MDLC utility (the only way I know to add the VCs at this time). Below is a WIP VC from Dragon.

Cheers,
O

Ah, the old effects quality setting...(I never would have known that). Good to see she's working Ok now TR.

Alternate 2d Panel...

To Everyone,

Here is a 2d panel that works nicely with B-25s. However, you're on your own to convert it to your B-25s because the authors are very strict about uploading this in any form, stock or modified -- repaints of their B-25 has the same restrictions. The panel is included in this download available at this site: http://www.roychaffin.com/packages.html

Cheers,
O

...a DVC, with operating gauges. If you are going to the trouble to build the DVC model, send it to me and I will incorporate it into the MDL file properly through FSDS2. :wavey:

1. This method works flawlessly, while using the MDLC (ingenious program that it is) method (with which I am familiar) can easily result in some dysfunctionality. I really do not want to see that happen. :crybaby:

Ivan sent me the stock DVC model for a Zero last month and I added to a new Zero through FSDS2 with no loss of function. Let's go that route. :jump:

After all, I have promised to add a DVC for those poor misguided souls who triffle with such follies in a combat sim...when I get some time free. :costumes:

2. Why not have a DVC that matches the standard panel? It only makes sense? And a VC gunsight that works. :engel016:

TR,

I did not know about the dysfunctionality with the method, sir. I'm sorry I do not know enough about DVC, so I guess will let that idea go.

Thanks for reply, and the B-25s.

O
:d

So a DVC was promised....

...and a DVC is being delivered.

Got her just about finished.......well, some tweaking left to do yet. :typing:
