• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

OT: Uh, this is ridiculous.

I remember as a kid pumping it for others at $0.25 / gal. And I had to check the oil and wash the windshield too.

Gotta vent, or go crazy. Quit drinking almost 9 years ago, so that isn't an outlet.

Posting on forums, yeah, that's the ticket.

My mom said when her parents would pull up to a gas station they'd tell the attendant to "fill it up or stop at $5". :jawdrop:

I can remember going as low as .17/gal. For a $1.00 you could get all of the above + checking the air and emptying the ash tray. And I still rode my bike to work.

"Refineries in the U.S. have cut way back on production of gas as the economy weakens and millions of Americans, many of them laid off, keep their cars in the garage."

This is the biggest reason why gas has risen back to where it is. It's a commodity in and of itself, and traded/sold independently from oil.

A 15 cents increase in two days is quite rediculous.

We get that ridiculous pricing each day, it can be below A$1.00 per litre on a Monday and up to A$1.50 by the following Wednesday ....... anyone who can think independantly fills up Monday or Tuesday, those who can't get hit later in the week, and of course, ine NEVER buys petrol in the the three days before a 'Holiday Long Weekend'.
