AF=Missions with AF Devastator & AF Dauntless not loading

AF=Missions with AF Devastator & AF Dauntless not loading

Hello....I have downloaded all files (including AF Gauges, Carriers and US/IJN AC) for the AF=Midway Missions Pack 1. However all missions with the AF Devastator and AF Dauntless fails to load scenery and then causes the game to crash to the desktop. The mission with the Wildcat is fine. And if I choose the stock TBD and SBD the missions in question run ok. Clearly however not with all the bells and whistles of the AF Aircraft.


Just wondering has anyone else experienced this, and if so where the problem might lie. I presume it is with the aircraft configuration files or maybe the mission files.

Interesting and perplexing.
 
I hope you hand edited the mission file and not do it in the mission builder.Using the mission builder can change somethings in the Midway missions,TheBookie talked about this.

TheBookie and my son upgraded the Midway missions from the USN side and made more to cover other aspects of the battle.There are 16 now and they can be flown as a campaign or single missions.It is in Campaign section her at SOH.

There are a lot of downloads for it,but all can be found here.The Donation ware planes are now free so no worries with that.The Readme explains how to load everything into the game,just follow it.You will also need the ship dps made by Pen32Win.

I hope you have the experience to do all of this,just take your time.

Best then to use your updated Midway missions rather than alter any potential files from the original AF Midway .Yes I appreciate the point about editing using the mission builder.
Thanks for the heads up I'll look at your update. I'll have no problem with following the installation instructions.
