Give me your preference please - Next project

Although I'm from the other sim, I would really like to see a new version of the Fiat G.50 and/or the Macchi MC.200. Personally I think the available models are a bit dated.
(And I most probably your models will work without issues in FS9 as well :biggrin-new:).

When you decide to do one of these, I would like to make a small request. Can you do multiple version with different canopies?

And these are of course aircraft used at several theatres of war........

Cheers,
Huub

From your list my preference would be the P-51A but your planes are always really good so anything is fine for me :mixed-smiley-010:

Not to hijack Captain Kurt thread but more of to potentially spare Captain Kurt from "reinventing the wheel" when MS gave is a "wheel" that could work.

I yoinked the CFS3 P-51B main LOD and with in an hour or 2 had it looking like P-51A/A-36.

However the cockpit. Why are they so odd or just broken in CFS3? The P-51B cockpit is crude recycle of the P-51D cockpit. It still has the D angled canopy slope and nice floating parts. Also nice open hole when looking down and back. Lack of any armor behind the pilot so what you see is what looks like a place holder mesh.

After way too many hours I was able to patch things up some. Things are good considering what I had to work with. Ripped the canopy frame from the CFS2 P-38 and used it as the CFS3 canopy was nothing but a patch work mess.

Allen,

You might as well go ahead and do it. The P-51A was by far the most popular choice, so it should be well received.

The next most popular choice was (surprisingly to me) the Re2001, and the G.50 ad Mc200 were requested too. So it looks like I'll be doing Italians for a while.

Captain Kurt ,

Hi may I suggest the Bloch MB.152/155 .

The Bloch MB 152 could not make it across the Mediterranean but the later Bloch MB155 could !!!

The MB155 was a modified 152 with larger fuel supply smooth cowling and slightly larger motor.

My suggestion is to make the Bloch Mb.152 then modify the model into a Bloch Mb155 as used by Vichy French into the end on 1942.
Sort of a two for one deal.

Just a suggestion !!

Basically what ever you do will be excellent as it always is.

Regards and Best Wishes ,

Hallo Cpt Kurt,
how many versions of Mustangs/ P-51 still exist?
So as I said before my clear preferance would go to a rare bird, and as I live in france now my choice will go to the
Bloch MB152, as the Dewoitine shows her age she is still good.
But I would have another suggestion; after Allens Bf 109 G-12 trainer why not a two seater version of the P-51?
of course with the possibility to fly her from the back seat.
A TF-51 would be something new and not an x-version of an plane which still exists in uncountable versions.
Best regards
Yours
Michael Vader

I appreciate the suggestions guys. I've got a good start on the Reggiane now so I will keep that momentum going. For those who have asked for the Bloch, I'm not forgetting it. It's just down the list a bit.

Progress on the Regianne

It's about 50% done. The air frame is complete including animations. The next part to model is the cockpit/VC. Then texturing, painting and air files. :pop4:

This will be another very nice airplane! I always liked the Italian planes, looking forward again to this one!

I spent the last three months following my favorite football team. They are now ranked 2nd and will play the semifinal game on Jan 1st.

My preference is your top 5 choice:

France:
Bloch MB.152
Dewoitine D.520

Italy:
Fiat G.50
Macchi Mc.200
Reggiane Re.2001

Based on UncleTgt request, I am going to build a Ki-61 Hen, Ki-61-II Early and Late, and a Ki-100.
