PMDG MD-11 less than 3 hours from release

Although I have no interest in tubeliners, thanks for the HU. Looks to be a popular addon.

I am always amazed at how popular the airline sim experience is in FS.

I'm not a HUGE tubeliner fan, but PMDG is one of the pinnacle builders of them. If you were only to have one tubeliner in your FSX inventory, I would highly suggest any PMDG product or the Level-D 767.

Im not big into tube liners
made of metal, have jet engines etc:banghead:
but a great one will always find its place
in my hanger
having been a passenger in one or two
helps:wavey:
looking forward for reviews

I have sucked every last drop of performance outta my computer and played with every setting known to man for years.
Even though I once loved playing the airline captain in FS9 with FSpassengers,FlyTampa's airports, ect, FSX and the hardware just in not IMO ready for it.
FSX has changed my flying habits and I enjoy GA,helis and warbirds far away from the cities.
Even flying the default Kingair into CLT brig me down into the mid teens.
Keep in mind I have every addon there is. ASX,GEX,FEX,UTX,MytrafficX ect.
I guess if I were to reinstall, leave out most of the eye candy,ai, turn down the settings and make the earth look like the surface of the moon,I MIGHT be able to run this plane into say,KATL or simular and stay in the teens.
I have long retired the PMDG 747 and LD767 but best of luck to the heavy iron guys who have waited so long for this.:applause:

I'me going to be all over this beast:ernae::ernae::ernae::running::running:

I had no interest in the tubes until the Round the World races started, during which they were required (or allowed) for some legs. They have their own set of challenges to deal with - they're so :censored: easy to overspeed, and they require the utmost attention to speed control during landing approch. It got to the point that landing them in one piece became a satisfying experience. I'm ok with tubes, and I've always liked the DC-10/MD-11 series. Impressive planes. Darned near as big as a 747. While I don't own any payware "tubes", this PMDG one looks pretty good.

The thrill of tubeliners is the procedures and the sense of accomplishment you get when you finally get a good flight plan set up and see it through to landing. All that hard work pays off when you get to the gate.

You won't find me doing a 4 hour trip in many GA aircraft, but I don't feel so bad eating dinner, checking mail and doing other various multitasks once the bird is in the air. When I'm ready for landing though, close the door... you won't be seeing more for about 45 minutes.

I enjoy all planes. Period.

I like tubeliners. Just got CLS 747-200/300. Nice. the us $ must be up because I only paid 43.00 for it from CLS and most other places it's 52.00. It's a good model - VC could have been better. The outside is really good and it handles like it's a heavy but no worse on FPS than A2A's 377. I also got CLS AB 340 a week or two ago and it is good with FPS. It was on sale I think for under $20.00 at the time.

The 377 is the best plane Ive ever flown in FS to date:ernae:
Just my opinion though.:ernae:

At this just released price 90 Euro = 122.225 US Dollar (fs9 and fsX version0
Standalone FSX version 60 Euro = 81.48360 US Dollar

I won't be buying it any time soon.
Damn..I was really looking forward to having this also.
