ATTENTION ! All Skinning Afficianados !!!

Not sure that this technique will work for CFS2 but it might. I intend to give it a shot to find out...

Unfortunately they left us behind when reaching for the sky.
It looks very cool - for sure. But you can`t have this in CFS2.

I'm sure there are some serious limitations with respect to the graphics engines in FSX and CFS2... but what about the actual techniques ?

CAN a skinner use a wave surface layer and have it look like pre-stressed aluminum in our Sim ?

I'll give it a try. Will look best on a bare metal skin most likely, but I think the technique can be used in CFS2..at least just enough to give a plane the warped panel look.

the techniques are quite handy indeed mate .... I'm always playing around with layers in photoshop to achieve a desired affect in CFS2 - there's a couple here that I'll tuck away for future reference.

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Folks,
I saw this some time ago, looks beautiful doesn't it?!

I've used the water/wave pattern and found using these sorts of patterns in 'overlay' blend seems to look the best.
