UPLOADED: B-25C-1 "Chatter Box" 90th BS

Pen,

do you think that it might be a good idea to do a skin of the plane in his honor? I'll find pictures, if you like...

Speaking of pictures, I found a photo of that Mitchell... check your PM, Pen.

That's the photo(s) I have, the one of "Margaret" is during her conversion. Like the rest her nose did get painted over. I wish I could find one that showed the side of her better. It would make creating a skin much easier and more accurate.

:focus: Pen, have you tweaked your 'Chatter Box' skin to fit the new version of the B-25 yet? I did a new bgl. last night (it took about 2 minutes) & I could upload it to SOH if you like.

Pen32Win/AGAS 5,

I applaud your knowledge of the Pacific Theater and especially the actions of the 5th Air Forceand RAAF. In this case, your abilities shine as indicated how quickly you were able to gather the information you did in such a short time.

One question - What resources did the two of you use? I am sure many of us would like access, except, of course, they came from personal libraries.

Again, outstanding work!

Thank you OW but please don't. I have a new and improved version which will be coming out in the next few days. The new one is much improved and will be released as a complete Aircraft which incorporates all kinds upgrades to the DP, Panels, Rear Gunsights and most importantly the flight model to replicate Pappy Gunn's Control surface boosts and the AI's can strafe ships and ground targets..... Skip Bombs.....etc.... All of my past (Tokyo Sleeper, now with a Norden style Bombsight), in progress (Dirty Dora & Hell's Fire) and future B-25's (Larner's Spook II and ???) will be packaged this way, complete aircraft.

Things at work are just a bit upsidedown right now, too much work not enough play....which these days isn't really a bad thing, just not much time for other stuff. They'll start rolling out soon...

Thanks HartMaj;

In this case a bit of old knowledge concerning the time line of the conversion/deployment of the B-25C-1's, the composition of the 90th BS as a mixed USAAF/RAAF Unit which came from both the web (Google is my Friend) and my own library. The very fine details about the crews on certain missions came from my library.

Thanks Again...:ernae:

Just a quick thank you again from me to you for all your help with info about my Father Alister (Ian) McDonald. I have since found out that he was also spent some time as a coastwatcher in a villager by himself(This info came from his sister but she doesn't know anymore about it as he only mentioned it to her when he was sent home on leave after getting malaria - another thing I didn't know about ). I am now on the trail of this so if you have any suggestions I would be appreciative. We didn't get the cyclone but we have since had torrential rain here so vist Queensland now if you want to get wet! Happy and safe Easter to you all!
Michaela
