File Library Teams

Just for info I am going to give Ed (falcon409) a hand with the 'FSX Military skins - WWII' section. He is working on page 35 right now so he can continue with the odd numbered pages and I'll take the even pages. Providing that nobody deletes anything from the old library before we have completed the transfers we should be good to go.

The same could be done with the 'FSX Civilian Props' section to help 'ian elliot' out (liaise with him first though!) as these two sections are the last ones to get done for FSX.

That sound like a plan, im on page 45 Civilian props and averaging about 4 page's a day, if anyone wants to jump in on the "even" page's, let me know

I can help ian, give me a starting point. I get about the same number a day done as well on average.

Al

Thanks Al, how about page 44.
First file, "Grand Canyon Airlines repaint for the Cr1 Software Ford Tri-Motor for FSX.zip" by Cazzie, and i'll check in every day or two and give a progress

Just a heads up my wrist is hurting quite a bit. Trying to ice/ibuprofen and hoping it will be better but if not I stopped on the bottom of page 3 of the FSX Civilian helicopter skins. The next file that needs to be uploaded is ND MD500E Hungarian Air Police R502 Rendorség Helicopter Photo Real V2 FSX Repaint than work up from there.

Take care Allen wrist/carpel tunnel pain is not nice (wife had both wrists operated on). I suffer from arthritis in my hands/fingers and I can only do two pages at a time before the pain gets too bad from my hands being in a fixed position on the mouse/keyboard while transferring files. I have to take a break for a while and then come back and do some more. I have some arthritic compression gloves arriving tomorrow so we will have to see if they improve things.

Ok Allen, I keep on this section up to the end, take care, you need to have a rest.
Cheers
Martin

I had wrist pain before. Numb fingers and nerve pain up the arm to the shoulder. Testing said not carpel tunnel. Yesterdays as pain like I twisted or bent it wrong but no idea from what.

Wrapped my wrist area up with a Ace Bandage so I couldn't move it too much while asleep and got a table like below next to me so I could put my whole arm on the table to move the mouse. Feeling about 80% today.

I don't see where you are Larry, can do some pages (two per day)

I am helping out Ed (falcon409) at the moment in the 'FSX Military Skins - WWII' section and we have it covered in that he is doing the odd pages and I am doing the even pages. With that said, Ed was on page 37 last I heard and I am about to start page 42 but if you want to help Martin I guess you could start at page 50 (of 59) and see what you can do. Time is running out so the more hands the better I guess!

I don't really understand Larry, the way would be to stock the pages and ressources from page 50 and upload it later in the good order ?

I don't think the order from the old library is important to the new library to be honest. The order of the old library is important for the people transferring files so that the library remains constant (i.e. no deleting files and changing the order until AFTER all the files have been transferred). The order in the new library is likely to be reversed at best because if you start at page one in the old library you are working from the newest entry to the oldest, but in the new library the new files are added as file #1 each time so the new library is essentially in reverse order compared to the old one. Having multiple people uploading in a random order is fine as someone using the the new library is likely to search via file name, description and/or tag line so the numeric position of the file within the library in terms of upload date etc. is irrelevant as the software should find it regardless of it's order in the library.
