FSXWX stopped working

Hi,
I have used FSXWX for a long time to inject real time weather into my sim.
For the last couple of weeks it has been failing to load weather and generates a "WX DATA initial download failed" error.

I have the latest version that is available on the website.

I tried to register for the website forum to post a question and am told that "Sorry, but you cannot register at this time because the administrator has disabled new account registrations".

Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this issue? I've gone back to FSRealWXPro but prefer the rendering of FSXWX.

I'm afraid that this might be another bit of software that has reached the end of its life.

Hi,
I can highly recommend Active Sky 2016 as a weather engine, if you were thinking of going down the payware pathway, and it is available at a sale price at the moment. I have been using it in FSX for years together with Active Sky Cloud Art and Envtex and I have been very pleased with it.

The last freeware option is FSrealWX Lite, however, recent airports not offered by NOAA never appear, and unfortunately it doesn't reflect Grib Stations.
 
I didn't think the free version of FSRealWX worked anymore. I thought all of the free versions lost connections when they went to version 3.0 which is payware.
