Upcoming World scenery releases

Wow! Thank you so much Kevin.
I'm still at work but as soon as I go home I will see it.
You gave me a sleepless night, ha,ha.
It's almost an hour drive from my house in Manila. Now days, Manila bay's landscape and coastline has much changed due to landfill.
There are lots of laxuary hotels and casino, malls, restaurants along the bay.
But the famous “sunset over Manila Bay” is as beautiful as ever.
Yuki, aren't they filling in the bay between Sangley Point and the mainland for the new airport?
I've nearly finished the GSL scenery for Manila, Cavite and Sangley. I've been holding off releasing it until R. Wills finishes the Manila Bay islands and fortifications.
I'll post it here for you to test and come up with any suggestions.

Kevin & Sander,

Wow! Super excited!
Yes, they start filling but as I know, not between sanglay - mainland. their initial plan is to fill on the other side.
Manila Int'l airport has only 2 runways and it's capacity is not enough to hundle air traffic and big number of passengers.
Also traffic jam around maila airport is hectic. From my place to airport, it will take 20min by car usually but on rush hour, sometimes it wil take more than 3 hours..........
So, constluction of Sanglay new airport is good news for us.

Problem is, there's gonna be 1000's of bridges all over the world that are too new. Although the fixes are very easy to make by themselves (1 or 2 minutes), because I have the whole world in SBuilder, it's going to be random what we find and decide to fix.
I've fixed Penang for you, and here is the link. If you find other stuff that needs fixing, please keep reporting, but I won't upload every fix individually after this, it's just be in the next big version.
Sander,

Thanks you so much!
I appriciated.
I will report if I ever find other issues for your next version.
Thanks again.

Hello Sander,
What a job! Unbelievable...
I tried flying over Europe after selection of scenes by your advises. It works perfectly well, I just found a surprising glitch, just over the Eiffel Tower!
The attached picture show it: a perfect square of grass... It is there even before the object appears.
I have no idea whatsoever of the way to remove it.
Just for your info.
Many thanks

Oooopppsssss!!
Sander,
Please don't consider my previous message, I found the culprit of the strange square of grass.
A paris2002.bgl scene from FS2004 that I added long time ago.
Sorry for the incinvenience.
Thks

Haha, too late, you made me look.
To be honest, I already knew when I saw your screenshot; it's clearly a procedural object, not a terrain texture.
But I was a bit shocked at how bad MY lines are looking there. So I did a quick compare with the original in FS2004, and it looks like
A) I really must include an algorithm to check where roads cross water and do something with that (optimistically: automatically place bridge segments like FS2004 does real-time)
B) There are more lines in cfs2 than fs2004; how is that possible? I think in my scenery, I'm also drawing textures for "UT" which are Ultilities; I think I'll discard those.
C) There are a places where the shorelines don't fit the water mask as well as in FS2004; that is a global problem that I'm still working on to do a more accurate better conversion (fine-tuning the algorithms)
D) just looking at Paris, there are 1000's more things in the FS2004 originals that would need fixing, but that would be a LOT of manual work.....(=way too much for me).

Hahahaha!
That's a lesson for me ;)
About Paris and any other cities I would personnally don't care that much about details, CFS2 is a combat flight, there are others better FS for VFR.
Landclass and lines are much more important in my view, which is exactly what we get thanks to your tremendous job.
Bravo!
