Man Builds 747 Flight Simulator in His Warehouse, Earns Guinness Record!

Flight enthusiast Matthew Sheil has built a 747-400 flight simulator in his Sydney warehouse that can stand up to any $40 million training version—and he did it for under $200,000.

:faint: I'd rather pay off my house first. Nice setup just the same..... the lucky b*&t@^d.

Only a B747? That thing better be agency certified!

If not, then why would you choose just one aircraft type?:faint:

But its cool either way, but I'd take the 200grand and spend it in other ways.

200K? coulden't one go to a avation collage and earn a ATP rating for that much, and fly the real thing?

In return, all of the money he earns renting out the simulator is donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

I dont think he did it just just to learn how to fly a virtual craft :applause:

Looking at the display in the windows behind him, I can't tell if he is using X-Plane or FS. I am assume he is using an off-the-shelf package as his main FS software if other users in other countries are able to interact with him.

it sure lookks like X-plane. He probably used it because it supports more key commands.
