I doubt ANYONE at this site would not want an updated versions of Talons previous works.
He is considered a "master builder" ... his missions are all exceptionally well constructed & executed.
I have flown most of his campaigns ... he was also my friend.
This IMHO would be a GREAT ADDITION to his legacy.

Now that we have much more powerful PCs (as opposed to 10-20 years ago) and are now able to run MUCH HIGHER detail without killing the frame-rates.

My GTX 1660Ti has 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM ... f/rs
never drop below 250 and generally runs 350-500

Dirtman

Actually 6 of Talons Campaigns have been redone with all the new ships and planes.

Carrier War USN is now USN 42

USMC Aces was redone but before the new Wildcats by Captain Kurt

The P-38 Campaign was redone

The USMC Bomber Campaign also redone

The 44th FG 18th FG was redone

The USMC 43 was redone as VMF-124,The original I think was redone but not sure

I uploaded all these so they are under my name.

My son did all the work.

Since he doing the Marianas part of his Big 44 Campaign he is also doing the Marianas done by Talon, his Uncle.Since he is still in High School he can only work on them on weekends so it takes time.

Heide; A question I have on the USMC Aces. Is this the one that he had originally completed and posted and some apparently unsanctioned changes were made to way back when ? I do remember one that he was REALLY torqued about when it was done. I ask, as he had sent me a campaign he had completed and then the changes came and then when I, unaware of the situation, downloaded the new one it overwrote his and I lost it. Unfortunately, Talon left us  right after and I never was able to locate it again. But if I qualify for the new one I guess I will have it ! Now to try to rebuild this game step by step (Hat tip to the late Abbott and Costello skit) .

Thank you for that info ... I was unaware.

My son did all the work.
I had assumed that, as per your previous posts.
Your young lad deserves a debt of gratitude from the CFS2 community for his dedicated work.
I'm sure "Uncle Talon" would be proud.

Absolutely correct.
School first & hobbies second.
Never rush your work ... take the time and do it right.
The end result is ALWAYS WORTH IT.

Fibber

Talon sent missions out to be tested and get feedback,I do the same, this in case he forget something in the readme and if they work for others.

You need the Captain Kurt 87 days. There is also changes in the planes and ships used. It's just updated with things not available at that time.

Heide; THANK YOU for your prompt reply and clarification. As I stated it happened so long ago I forgot about that part. All I remembered was having it and then I didn't. No wonder I could never find it again. Again THANK YOU! Although I am no where near getting up to speed I know that your son & you following in Talons footsteps will be (hat tip to Tony the Tiger here) GREEEEEEEEEEAT!(y)

What Dirtman said 'I doubt ANYONE at this site would not want an updated versions of Talons previous works."
(Back after being gone the last 3 weeks)

Hi Captain Kurt,
I was looking at the screenshots of your Wildcats. Just out of curiosity, whose drawings did you use to build the models?
There are some details that seem to differ slightly from what I expected to see such as the fronts of the cowls.

It's been a time since I did the Wildcats so I had to go back to dtermine what I used. It would have been the Kagero Wildcats Monografie

The reason I asked was that on the Wildcat, the model of the engine installed was often indicated by the location and shape of the intakes at the front of the cowl.

The F4F-3's I modeled represent the last 100 manufactured before the production turned to F4F-4's. Pretty sure they is the correct cowl for that version.
