Horten Go229 liveries - 4 fictional repaints for the SkyUnlimited Horten

This package contains alternative textures for the FS004 SkyUnlimited Horten Go229 model. It includes liveries for two nightfighter versions, a "normal" dayfighter in a standard green/green splinter scheme and a livery depicting the V3 prototype in the colours in which it arrived in the USA in 1945.

To use the textures inside this package you must have a legal version of the payware SkyUnlimited Horten Go229 model installed.

Hi Huub,
I don't have this payware but from the screenshots, the texturing work looks state of the art for sure. Really nice job on an uncommon subject !

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words. I used this model to test some different paint techniques. I tried to simplify mottles of German aircraft by using pre-made mottles layers. I used this model as it has a simple texture layout and relative large textured areas (read, "upper side wings"....).

I have mixed feelings about this technique, but on the V3 prototype I think it worked quite well.

For those who like to have a Horten Ho229, but don't want to spend $25, I can recommend Allen's CFS2 conversion form the CFS3 model.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub, I saw that website, but was confused by the description, as it says 'FS2004 only' at the top, then 'Full FSX model' in the description. If you are sure it is for FS2004, then I will buy it.
Cheers

Hi Graeme,

Although I was already convinced it is a FS2004 model. But to be sure I ran the installer from the model I have, which added even more to the confusion......

As I had never checked the FSX model, I ran the installer again. And the package contains both an native FS2004 model as a genuine FSX model with bump and spec maps.

So you can't go wrong with this model.

Cheers,
Huub
