rotorcraft start-up and shut-down sounds

Why is it developers claim that they can't model their helicopters with start-up or shut-down sounds, but the default EH-101 has incredible and immersive ones?

Maybe the EH-101 model has built in coding unknown to developers?
The SDK doesn't reveal EVERY secret.:faint:
Also, how many dev's are trying to port over FS9 models?

The default EH101 is actually a 'default Acceleration' helicopter, and Acceleration brings new rotary toys to the mix.

Standard FSX does not, iirc.

Yes of course there are ways around it, see the AH-64D or any other with similar full sounds. Flight models are effected by these work arounds and as thus it's a big trade-off.

Some developers are willing to make the trade off, some are not. To each his own.

And here I was under the assumption that many of these add-on rotorcraft were acceleration/SP2 type aircraft......

The only people who fully understand developers are developers.:help:

Hi Tigisfat,

64D should have startup sounds. It's a fully variable soundset, unlike the one in the KA50 or H60. SH2 should be the same.

The addon rotorcraft are Accel/Sp2 aircraft, but that doesn't mean they utilise the additional Accel commands.

From what I gather, if you utilise the Accel commands you'd need yet another separate project. So you'd have one version for FS9, one for FSX, one for FSX Accel..
