Milviz Skyraider?

At one time (around 2021) they had a pretty good start on an A-1 Skyraider for MSFS. I lost track of it since I wasn't able to run MSFS at that time but I happened to look for it today and found that Milviz had changed names and the Skyraider isn't mentioned on their new site. Anyone have any update on whatever happened to it? Looked pretty nice in the teaser videos.

Falcon, I don't believe that one made it over to MSFS. I think you'll find it here along with most of Milviz's FSX/P3D output:

It is nicely done in my opinion although I have to admit I haven't put much to into it.

p.s. edited because I missed the fact that the question was specifically about MSFS. I blame the new eye prescription.

Didn't they sell it to another developer?
I honestly don't recall! I know they did pass a few projects on to other developers for MSFS but I don't remember if the Skyraider was one of those. Would be nice if we could see one of that quality in MSFS. Didn't the Bobcat go to someone?

Yes they mentioned selling the project to another developer in one of their livestreams. Disappointing I don't think we have heard anything else on it since.

Miltech has the Skyraider in development, and it is scheduled for late summer 2025.
That's information from their discord channel. The aircraft is in a mature dev stage, as far as I can gather.

Absolutely a must have for me.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks for the updates. I got setup on their Discord so I can follow their progress. Looking forward to what they come up with. I had the Razbam version and Tim Conrad's version. Truth be known I liked Tim's better, lol
Indeed, I preferred Tim's version too. With the right sounds added, it was a brilliant model!

From the descriptions it is planned to release it with a weapons loadout as well as carrier capability, so this is a real treat for radial warbird fans.
Can't wait, honestly. Fever. Yearning. Drooling. Everything (almost...) involved here on my side.

Cheers,
Mark

I was so excited to see that announcement over the weekend. One of my grandmothers worked for a Douglas sub-contractor in Reno, Nevada, in the '50s, that built the tail assemblies for Skyraiders, so it has always been one of the more popular aircraft within my family. I had seen some video that Echo 19 had shared a few months ago when recording sounds from a Skyraider for the Miltech product, and I also cannot wait to hear that finished soundset!

Via the announcements I've seen by Miltech on Discord, their Skyraider will include the following features:

- Echo 19 Soundpack (of course recorded from an actual Skyraider)
- Fully configurable weapon systems (including the iconic "toilet bomb")
- Immersive features including wing fold, simulated prop damage, and functional AN/APS-6 radar

Miltech state that they are "also eyeing Vietnam-era carrier packs."

Here are some larger versions of the images that have been shared:

Very nice! My late father (seen in my Avatar here) was based at Hurlburt Field in the early 60's with SAWC (Special Air Warfare Center. Back then, A-1's and A-26's were numerous there and on the surrounding ranges. I am happy to see this model come to fruition.

I discovered a nice thread on Warbirdinformationexchange.org. The OP is a RL pilot who learned to fly the AH1 Skyraider. A lot of very informative comments by him about how to operate the "flying dump truck".

Check:

Can't wait for that one, really! Hope they get it right as far as the flight model goes, but I am confident.

Cheers,
Mark
