As an aside: FW CL-415 in the Marketplace

Popped up t'other day: a version of the new Asobo CL-415 is in the Marketplace, and it seems to be freeware. Good flyer, decent drop effects, no manual (of course). Only one generic paint scheme based on the Province of Ontario (with no titles), and has dynamic numbering. Great value for the price LOL

I think if you have the '24 sim, it's free - otherwise, they're offering them as inexpensive payware. On my Marketplace, it's $9.99 US.

I dunno -- I don't have 2024 and it was listed as free, and I wasn't charged for it. Maybe a glitch that I happened to take advantage of.

If you pre-ordered MSFS2024, the CL-415 became available, free, in your MSFS2020 marketplace. It might now be free to everyone in FS20, but that was the original arrangement - as an incentive to pre-order FS24.

I think this is correct, I pre-ordered 2024, but got a refund and was able to download it FOC for 2020.

Exactly the same here - got a refund on the MSFS2024 pre-order, but the CL 415 remained in my MSFS2020 collection.

Gee, I paid $9.99 for it (and I thought that was a good deal). I'm waiting for a sale on MSFS2024 before I purchase it....my 2020 is running so well I can't imagine trying to replace it.

So free for refunded preorders must be a glitch...
Just to clarify - the CL415 was made available free in MSFS2020 if you pre-ordered MSFS2024. They didn't remove it if you later got a refund for MSFS 2024 - I don't think it was a glitch; just Asobo thinking it might make them look petty. Either that or they had enough on their plates trying to sort out the disastrous release of FS24, to worry about reclaiming a free aircraft.
