Translating a PDF file

Looking for a free web site that will translate a PDF file from one language to another, I have a couple of french PDF ones I would like to translate to English.

Keep in mind this might now work if the PDF is an image and not text. Some of the really old PDFs were little more than a image on the page and the text couldn't be extracted very well.

If that is the case try yandex or google as both support image translation. I can't speak on how good google is but yandex has been fine for the most part the vary few times I have needed to use.

Again, per Dangerous' comment, if they are early pdf generation, those documents are only images that contain no text.

The only solution then would be to retype manually into a more current word processor program and the run the rewrite through a translator. (I use https://www.deepl.com/en/translator)

If you can copy the text from the file, Google Translate works well enough. It also has the ability to translate images, which I just tested:

Thanks for your help, The pdf I want translated also contains images with with labels in french which google translate did not do. It did
translate all written text to English however, the images with french notations were not converted (translated)

If you have a smartphone, you can use the Google Translate application which uses your camera to look at texts and translate it live.
