I've had to remove community folder contents a couple of times in order to troubleshoot crash issues. I typically then replace those contents a little at a time then try to boot up MSFS. I split the contents in half in alphabetical order, then move sections back to the community folder. If MSFS crashes, I know that a file in that section has an issue. If not, I go on to another alphabetical section and try again. It's time consuming, but better than a full re-install.

Besides disabling your Community folder and its contents for testing, I would also recommend deleting your Rolling Cache and letting 2024 build a
new one.
Personally, there's so little of 2024 installed on the PC, everything being streamed, I've never found that uninstalling/re-installing 2024 ever fixed much
of anything. But it's easy to do, so you can always try.

Hoping a paintkit happens or the Simmarket release enables painters to do this one. I'd love it some talented painter could tweak the current USAF blue scheme for N141SW, the plane I flew. (First set of pics are mine; below that are a couple I found online.)

Carenado does release some of their stuff for sale on their website (not sure about places like SimMarket) months after it releases on Marketplace, so there's a chance the T-34 will be available elsewhere later this year.
I bought the T-34 model with the intention of maybe doing the very rare RCAF livery (25 Canada Car and Foundry-built Mentors served for about one year before being sold to Greece and Turkey - RCAF said it was too easy to fly!). I don't think it's going to be possible without a dedicated paint kit, which Carenado is not famous for. Did they ever release paint kits for their airplanes? Anyway, it's fun to fly but it's a disappointment wrt skinning. Uses a completely different texture for LODs, with a different layout. Weird.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to the T-34 and T-38, but I've decided that I'm not buying anything from the marketplace until I see some decent repaints show up on fs.to. I only recently bought Taog's 500C because some repaints finally showed up. I have yet to buy Carenado's other marketplace-exclusive offerings.
Marketplace-only releases, I think, are going to seriously damage this hobby (and some people's businesses). I wonder if M$/Asobo are having developers sign contracts to release only in the marketplace as a move to eliminate 3rd-party shops and free liveries -- eventually forcing all addons (including liveries) to be payware and exclusively through the marketplace. A lot of my enjoyment of the sim comes from customizing and playing with paintjobs. I guess those days are coming to an end.
I don't think I need any addon aircraft bad enough to support that kind of thing.

Sadly, Brian, I must agree with you. Microsoft invented the spreadsheet (actually, they, in MS fashion, bought out the company who did) and they have run the numbers. I think they see more $Profit$ in the X-Box crowd than the hobbyist.
Also, in predictable M$ fashion, when those spreadsheets no longer show the $$$ they are looking for, they will drop MSFS support, and all those pretty aircraft, airports , and scenery will go POOF, along with the 76 Trombones they sold us.
When that happens, hopefully that little company from West Columbia, SC will still be around.
I think MS gets unfairly knocked here in this instance. Basically it's no different than buying an app through the Apple Store or Google Play. It is the developers who choose to offer their products through the MS Marketplace because they see benefits in doing so: e.g. bigger exposure (and thus more potential sales) and not having the hassle of running your own webstore. And allegedly some devs asked for certain files to be locked.

I get why a developer would choose to offer through the MP. What I don't get is why they would choose to offer it ONLY through the MP. Carenado still runs their own store. There are lots of other stores, too, which companies like Carenado still offer products through. If exposure to a wide audience is what they're after, you'd think that multiple stores would be the way to go -- not exclusive to one. If I could sell a product on Amazon and Wal-Mart, I bet I'd get more sells than if I sold from Amazon alone. Carenado has lost money from me for this reason. I would have purchased the B55, the 390, the classic 172, and the T-34 from their website. I won't from the MP. I'm probably not the only one. That's four sales lost from just one guy.
Also, if the devs want to encrypt their files, they don't need the MP to do it. I bought the F33 and the 182Q from Carenado's website, and the files weren't encrypted. If I'd purchased them from the MP, they would have been. It makes no sense. If Carenado wanted to sell encrypted files only, why would they have made some aircraft available for 2024 without encryption?
It all seems to me like some devs, like Carenado, have made some sort of deal with M$/Asobo for MP-exclusive content. I could be wrong, but that's where the logic points the needle.

MSFS is an Xbox title primarily, and now PS5 too - both are long-established mainstream gaming consoles* and are therefore locked out from external stores, so the in-sim Marketplace is the biggest and best place to sell any product for MSFS.

You may very well be right (e.g. the product must for a limited time remain a MP-exclusive). For the sake of the argument, let's assume for a moment that such terms are "forced upon" the developer(s) by MS. My point is: it is still the developer who voluntarily agrees to these terms (so there must be some overriding advantage for him/her to do so).

Remember Microsoft Flight? No third-party add-ons there. The team that launched MSFS learned from that failure.
I'm sure MS does give extra promotion to Marketplace exclusive, and that's incentive. But it's up to the devs.
From what I hear, the VAST majority of sales are on Marketplace. And it takes longer for the pirate sites to get the planes. No conspiracies necessary, that's why so many devs are selling there.

Oh, they totally could. Leave the config and texture files encrypted while protecting the model and other core binary files. It would allow mods/enhancements while still doing as effective a job at stemming casual piracy as the current overreaching scheme.
