AH B-25 Mitchell for MSFS Released

not yet in Europe...
"we dont sell to EU countries because of the workload required collecting all the various VAT payments and taxes. So that is why we use people like Just Flight and ORBX as they do all that. The product ticket price remains the same wherever you are. They will release whenever they are ready. They have the packages from us." - AH

Wrong forum.

Well, it's an FS2020 SDK airplane, so it could make sense to discuss it in the newer sim here too. (Not questioning your moderation, Roger! Appreciate all the hard work you and the other mods do here so much!)

That said, I just created a topic specific to flying this under FS2024 over in that forum. The topic is here:

TL;DR: Works great under FS2024. Zero issues.

Roger was responding to a question about how it works on 2024. So I started a topic about using it on 2024.

But it is indeed a 2020 SDK plane.

We now live in a confusing, divided world, even when escaping reality into flight simulation. :)
Now that is a beautiful comment. I LOVE it!

Back on topic: it's a native 2020 plane that works as it should in 2024.

That should be clear.

It should be, yes - but the Lancaster is also advertised as compatible with MS2024. I have a sound problem with it, so I'd be interested to know about the B-25, just to be certain.

I saw this at two o'clock in the morning and, dang it, wouldn't you know, the "dogs had to go outside." My wife has an uncanny way of detecting flare ups in my flight sim addiction. Perfect excuse to hop in the office and buy the B-25! I downloaded it, installed it, and this morning loaded a flight. Unfortunately, I had to leave her sitting on the Tarmac of Dyersberg AAF without so much as bending the throttle or throwing the battery switch on. Looks really solid. It's going to be a long day at work waiting to take her up. I'll post screenshots and a little report, later. Cheers, friends!

The Lancaster works wonders here in my FS2024, Paul, engine sounds are pretty good, i'd say 7/8 out of 10. 'Problem' is the start-up sound of the Merlins is particularly fantastic, bit of a bummer to hear it fade-away and being replaced by a less 'spicy' sound, still a Merlin though. I learned from the Avangel B-25 review that AH is still working on the sounds. Particularly the external sounds of the Cyclones is well done (rpm transitions could be a bit better, i feel full take-off power could/should be more/higher), internal engines sound is waaay too low but AH might be replicating we are wearing noise cancelling headphones. Without those the internal engines sound should be as deafening as the external sound. According to Avangel a B-25 sound update is in the pipeline. No problem otherwise with the B-25 sounds in FS2024. Very nice to hear a number of additional cockpit sounds like switches, knobs, levers and such. Not all yet but it's supposed to be WIP. ;-)

Hi Jan; thanks for that. As I'm clearly in a minority, I think another new download and reinstall of the Lancaster is in order, which I shall do this week.

I'm looking at all the new screenshots of the B-25, and I'm somewhat undecided about buying it.
