rocket pylons?

is there a naming convention for building 3d rocket pylons? I used mount0, mount1 etc. were the rockets go and they show up on game model just fine but then fire from the center of the pylon.

I *think* that only the pylon nodes work.
Rockets are just a type of gun (or is it weapon?) I'll have a dig back at what I did with the mortar.

If we're talking about a rocket pod or similar, I think that's what CFS3 does. I believe it's the same with the small bomb containers. It annoyed the heck out of me when creating the triple bazooka for the P-47: Me sweating to model everything correctly for each tube and then that 😔 sim fires each rocket from the middle of the cluster! I gave up trying to correct this...

But if you are attempting to add single rocket pylons to a model (such as several rockets under a Beaufighter wing), you might want to check out the .xpd file of the P-38 with it's 'Christmas tree' launcher or any other aircraft with single rocket pylons (P-47, P-51, F4U?)

I have pylon1 (starboard wing) and pylon2 (port wing) on the Tempest II. These accept modelled zero-length rail sets (Left or Right) as pylons for each wing and each rail set has mount0, mount1, mount2 and mount3 Dummy objects aligned with it. The rockets align with and fire from their individual zero-length rail.
