SOH ADMINISTRATIONThe sounds on this model have been inaccurate/substandard from day one. My solution to fix this is simple. Go download the FSX/P3D Milviz Freeware P-38L from the Blackbird freebie page. Unzip the download folder and use 7.zip to right click the MV_P38L v1.160201.exe file and point it to the same folder. Inside the unpacked MV_P38L v1.160201 folder, navigate to the SimObjects/Airplanes/MilViz_P38_L folder then copy/move the Sound Folder to a temp/safe location. Then go to your FS2020 P-38 folder and back up the sound folder then delete the original and replace it with the one from the Milviz P-38. One point, you'll notice the sound files are by Mike Maarse for Milviz which tells you these are the correct sound files. Okay, one last critical step so you will hear these sounds. You will need to use a copy of auto_json which I will attach here. After downloading the auto_json.zip pack, unzip it and click the auto_json.exe file and when opened, via the Directory button at the upper right, point the directory to your FS2020 flyingiron P-38 File in your Community Folder then clock Okay. From there, hit the Save As button to save the new Json file in the same P-38 main folder. Then test the model to make sure all is good. The file sounds great and correct on my installation. Hope this helps all the P-38 users.Hi All
I have just tried to fly this one for the first time after the recent update. The sounds are terrible? I don't remember them being great before but now they are terrible - sounds like a FS9 generic prop?
