FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

Man, there are red flags all over this one! The aircraft in question is definitely the freeware Alphasim Caribou. The best way to tell is to look at the RCAF/UN textures of the one they are trying to sell, notice that the horizontal stabilizer lacks deicing boots. By some remarkable coincidence the Alphasim freeware version is also lacking deicing boots! As has been pointed out previously, some websites may simply need update however there is also the distinct possibility that they are ripping people off, thorough research is mandatory.
 
The only difference between the Alphasim & the Viravia Caribou that I can (quickly) find, is that both aircraft.cfg files are identical, apart from the title= & ui_manufacturer= say either Alphasim or Virtavia, also in description= shows either Alphasim or Virtavia.
 
Hmmm.... We have been using the Caribou as an example however, there obviously quite a few Alpha/Virtavia aircraft that were released as freeware, I wonder how many were palmed off, to the unsuspecting, as payware by various sites. :unsure:

believe it boils down to in some cases, developers leaving the door open to offering their [would-be] customers / 'patrons' the 'option' to pay for a release should they wish to and have the means to, vis-a-vis patronage and monetarily supporting the developers vs having it entirely for free, i.e essentially about supporting future development/upgrades/updates and supporting talent in the hobby ecosystem

Of course, I'd be happy to do that.
It is the Payware Pitts S-1 Special from Addictive Simulations, the Virtavia Yak-52 and two freeware Pitts from L. Morcillo Azofra and Laura M. Celis Santiago.
Regarding the scenery we see Salzburg from Digital Design, Fairbanks from SimWings and Cumbernauld Xtreme from UK2000.

Thanks BaronFritz for bringing back memories, below is DC 9-33F JT8D (HJG) in IPEC livery in Perth Australia.

I was working for TNT when it purchased IPEC and we had to merge services, this was before TNT purchased it’s first aircraft.
Both IPEC and TNT started out in Australia cutting their teeth on next day services in the difficult long distance low density services required by the Australian geography. (The DC 9 depicted only saw service in IPEC livery in Australia).

In the UK next day delivery services were achieved by road, one exception being next day services to Northern Ireland. Initially we (TNT) chartered an Air Bridge Cargo Vikers Cargomaster (the cargo version of the Vanguard) to provide a nightly service to and from Birmingham to Belfast Aldergrove.

I had been visiting the TNT depot and customers in Northern Ireland and decided to hitch a lift back to Birmingham on the Merchantman. It was a cold and very frosty night. The Vanguard has a very spacious flight deck with seating for four so I was up front. Some twenty minutes away from Birmingham we were informed it was fog bound. We diverted to Coventry, but ten minutes away Coventry also closed due to fog so we diverted to East Midlands.

As ambitions expanded TNT introduced a next day service to major points in Europe with Birmingham as the UK hub. Initially volumes were low and an old Handley Page Dart Herald was chartered for the nightly Birmingham to Hannover connection. I wanted to see how the system was operating (customs clearance, road connections etc.) so joined one of the flights, the Herald was no Vanguard, the flight deck cramped and only two seats, however an old lumpy sofa had been secured to the cockpit bulkhead and two seat belts installed. I sat strapped in facing the cargo net that secured the cargo, the pilots several steps behind and above me. Once in the cruise I joined the two crew on the flight deck, the Captain tapping one of the dials complaining: “It would be nice for once to fly an aircraft where everything worked.”
