FSG PILATUS PORTER PC-6 released

Cheers Keith! It looks superb... kind of like the other two, lol! I wonder WHEN are we going to get the decent Dash 8 we've been praying for since 2020?
 
If you haven't been following the saga of this plane, it's a really interesting read. They started working on it in 2021, and then the devs have had to take time off to defend their country as they're in Ukraine.

Glad to see they've finally been able to release it. I'll likely pick it up once I'm ready for something new to fly; it sounds like they've done a fantastic job.
 
Is it also steam gauge only? I really love the BB version and fly it almost every day, but I do so in a historical context.
 
I got it on sale a while back. At the sale price, I'm happy with it. It definitely has some issues (the biggest for me are the not-quite-right cockpit sounds and some odd animations), however, they're not bad enough to keep me from enjoying it. The model looks nice, and the FD is believable. I don't have any experience with the real aircraft, of course, but it seems to fly as it should. For me, it works the same in the most recent sim update as it did before.

Do you happen to have a demo of the poor audio, or can you describe it? Sounds are important too ignore.
 
I don't have a recording, but it seems like it's a blending thing. The sounds of switches just seem too loud -- like they don't match with the rest of the sound. The best way I can think of to describe them is like bad Foley in a movie. The odd animations might be a part of that, too. When you flip a switch, there is a very slight delay before the animation and sound happens. The animations are a bit too fast, too. That may add to the sense that the sounds don't seem to match.
As a side note, if you care about the walk-around, the plane doesn't have any chocks or covers you can interact with. It is 2024-native, but the walk around features are missing.
Like I said, I'm happy with it at the sale price. If I'd paid full price, I'd be disappointed.
