The Finnish Fins are Sneaky...

A welcome addition....

To all,

Afscrub just uploaded a welcome addition to the Eastern Front, the LaGG-Morane. This was an attempt by Finnish engineers to eliminate the obsolescence of the Morane-Saulnier Ms-406 by replacing its low-rated French powerplant with an upgraded Klimov VK-105P. The performance of the aircraft increased markedly, making it competative with the Yak-1s, LaGGs, and MiGs the Finns were dealing with during 1942 and 1943.

Thanks for this unexpected addition, I may have to make use of this! :ernae:

AF Scrub has uploaded two M.S. 406 Morko fighters! These fit in well because they have the Kilmov V-12 fitted in place of the Hispano-Suiza.

I'll combine this with the thread I started. I like your title better.

Well its nice to know that while I may be some what slow, I am original! :woot::focus:

Now I have noticed there are two mdls of the plane, but whats hte difference between the two?

Hmmm, I'll have to check this out... I hope they included better firepower also. You're lucky to shoot down anything (EXCEPT A WINGMAN) with the original MS406 guns.:faint:

The firepower was...

...a 12.7mm Russian machine gun or a Mauser 20mm cannon that had a smaller hiting power than the Hispano. Some, converted from MS410, had four 7.5mm Darne machine guns. The planes were too late for WW2. They began to arive at air units at 1945 but are a good waht if aircraft for Eastern Front.

Cheers

Pepe
