If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

According to AI

Torpedo Squadron 15 (VT-15) was never equipped with TBM-3 Avengers during its frontline World War II combat deployment.

During their highly decorated combat cruise aboard the USS Essex (CV-9) from May to November 1944—which included major actions like the Battle of the Philippine Sea, the invasion of Guam, and the Battle of Leyte Gulf—the squadron exclusively flew TBF-1C and TBM-1C Avengers. [1, 2, 3]
While the upgraded TBM-3 variant (featuring a more powerful engine and underwing rocket hardpoints) entered production in mid-1944, it did not reach VT-15 before the squadron was pulled back to the United States to reform and decommission at the end of its tour. [1]
