I got the email too.. There are a few issues.. but nothing major... EXCEPT for the "DEP" after closing FSX..

Well, well, well.
Got the same email today and was a bit hesitant - I like to see the files that change an earlier install if I have already tried to fix the fix . .
Anyway, have had the most pleasant flight from KVRB Vero Beach to Arthur's Town, Bahamas. Never before flew waypoints with an AP, let alone FMC. Was myself tickled to see her change course at the WP's and then descend without overspeed to our destination. Had only a basic FP loaded and ran the Alt and KIAS myself but little steps.
Now trying a transatlantic flight. Have always had a secret desire for a luxury bizjet/private airliner to go back and forth from NA to Europe (while I sleep overnight) and this is just the ticket.
This is one great payware aircraft, perhaps a dark horse? There are few if any business jets that are native FSX. Wish we could get a G4 or G5 at this quality, but we all know the legal, intellectual property issues involved . .

read the *beep*-ing manual through several times, followed its instructions word-for-beeping-word multiple times, and my engines never start...
The avionics run fine, the APU start is easy (figured it out myself before I RTM- nice and fun...) but the engines won't work...
I can get the starter to spin-up the turbines, but at a start-pressure no higher than 28... I can get pressure up to 38, but it ALWAYS falls below 30 when I engage the starter and my turbine RPMs never get high enough...
any tips?

I'm not a real jet jockey (though I do have right-seat time in a Lear 35), so I'm not sure if this is realistic. My instincts tell me that after getting one engine running from APU bleep.. I "should" be able to start the other engine with bleep from the running engine. ANYway, that's beside the point. Here's what works for me:
After getting the APU running, I set (and leave) the bleed crossover on "crossover" ..
Make sure both ignition switches are set to 'normal'..
Then, the starrt buttons will fire them up
I'll bet the one thing you're overlooking, is the two fuel cut-offs (red switches on the pilot's side, just left of HIS center)..
I'll agree with expat.. this is simply a marvelous add-on. The exterior model is slightly innacurate for payware, but not enought to matter.. The interior model is a bit 'coarse'... but like the exterior model.. they're both low-poly.. and very FPS friendly.
The flight dynamics (and the FMC) are what have me captivated.. I took her up to FL510 today (first time in a decade of simming I've been at that altitude), and the climb, fuel-flow, performance..EVERYthing are wonderfully realistic.. and the descent form that altitude just drills home what a spectacular job they've done with this bird.
Best payware money I've spent, except for maybe the A2A 377
Well, "few" might be accurate at the moment, as so far only the CJ1 and CII are 'native FSX,' but our CitX v2.0 will be fully 'native.' :ernae:

Just a quick question. In FS2004, my Citation has no gauges. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and what the procedure is for rectifying it.
The updates did cure my FSX issue, but not FS2004.
I should add that I have all Sims on a seperate HD, external drive. But they boot up in FS fine and FSX seems to be perfectly functioning. FS2004 though seems to have no gauges showing still. Surely its a drive bug?

That step has thwarted me on many FSX a/c - particulalry portovers. Could not get the CS C-130 to start until someone on a board said they had to assign a key/button for fuel on/off. That sorted it.
Forgive the suggestion, but are you sure you installed the FS9 version into your FS9 install? There are two versions that come with the download. This caught me out on the RAZBAM Banshee recently.
Well, a bit more trial and error - and a tip for people: found if you load the Citation and then change or move any other a/c folders around I could not then load a flight plan. Read on another board to try reloading FSX and that solved that problem.
Problem now is that the a/c does not want to follow the active FP. I can't seem to click on NAV on the AP without the HDG light also coming on and it just follows the heading on the ADI instead of my FP waypoints. See the waypoints in the MFD etc - and I have the knobs selected to FMS - but there is just so little (virtually nothing) in the manual about operating this particularly sophisticated AP I just can't figure it out.

The knobs being on "FMS" are just for HSI pointers.. Make sure you hit (and re-hit) the FMS button (between the knobs).. AND.. make sure you're within "reasonable" intercept proximity.. If you drifted too far..you might have to hand fly it until you're near the plotted course.
If - and I repeat - if it has been properly programmed, the FMS should display HDG at this point. The FMS will hold the a/c in HDG/Intercept mode until within capture range of the active leg of the flightplan, at which point the FMS should automatically switch to FMS tracking mode.

I have the same problem as Ematherson but working my way through it. The manual is excellent in places and drops the ball badly in others. On page 11 "I will assume a certain level of familiarity" leaves a new pilot lost. When I press 4R as per the manual the FMC does not display "FLT PLAN" as the manual says. Somewhat frustrating to say the least. Very difficult to learn the startup, taxi etc. when the manual is so inconsistent.
I have resorted to using the Citation X setup utility prior to running FSX to set the engines running on FSX startup. That works fine but the EICAS keeps showing "NO TAKEOFF" on the display, every time I advance the throttle the "Master Alarm" comes on and I can't figure out why. I have set the flaps and the trims (although I don't have a clue what they should actually be) by using settings from other planes that work fine. I cannot figure out for the life of me why the "NO TAKEOFF" is on even though the engines are running and presumably ready for takeoff as per the Citation X setup utility.
An e-mail to Wilco about this results in "We'll get back to you in a few days"

"4R" (or any of those side buttons) will have a different function, depending on which screen is displayed. The only time "4R" will take you to the Flight Plan Screen, is from the first (1/2) landing screen. See where it says, "FLT PLAN", next to 4R ?

It's awkward at first, learning to jump from function to function. Just remember to keep all the tasks in mind (what would you want to know if you were an FMC ?).. and keep a notepad handy, so you don't keep making the same mistakes.
It's tedious at first, but once the logic behind how it's laid out starts clicking,,, evereything will fall into place.
As for "no takeoff".. flaps need to be at 5 degrees.. and elevator trim set within the green arc.

That is interesting.. Not as, "OOH AHH", as I was hoping, but it has to work withing the limitations of FSX weather. As in.. FSX's quickest update is ever 15 minutes.. and even then, it doesn't generate weather far enough out for realistic weather avoidance in something that will fly this fast and this high. But it does work.. kinda.
Like.. if you can already SEE the bad weather with your eyes, you can start climbing until there are no more echoes on the screen. That's like a cue that you're now above the looming weather, and can at least avoid it to some extent. Same with turbulence. You can use it as a short-range warning, and cue that you've climbed high enough (or low enough) to avoid it. That's not all bad, all things considered.

Still gotta work on the engine startup from cold & dark but sure there is enough help on here to get me going. I am lucky enough to have a Pilot for U.S. Airways living quite near me who is going to come over and help me out.

Yes I did. I was traveling and anytime I got a wifi connection the website was overrun so I could never get on to make a purchase. A bummer indeed.
