New DHC-5 Buffalo at Premier

Great find, thanks...:ernae:
I saw one of these beauties in south Louisiana, Houma to be exact, back in 1999. I later found out that it was there for an airshow, and was the drop plane for a Canadian Skydiving team...:applause:

Very Good , Thank You Very Much For The Lead.
I have been wanting one for a long time .

I have the Caribou from AlphaSim, I'm very happy with it, but I'm downloading PAD's right now and I'm looking forward to trying her.

A BIG tip of the hat foe the heads up.:applause:

Am I going nuts or do those engines look different than the ones on the Alpha bird? :isadizzy:

That would be because the Alpha bird is a piston-powered DHC-4 Caribou and the PAD bird is a DHC-5 Buffalo with turboprops. They look similar because the Buffalo is a development of the Caribou that was done for the US Army. The tail is also different.

Premier do 'Freeware' better than many commercial enterprises.
And it's always worth donating $5.00 or more.

Wow !

Thanks to premier Aircraft Design for this superb Buffalo
and to stay faithful to FS2004 !

I just flown it and it is just like the real thing including
the "mowing" sound.

You can fly full flaps 100 Knts steep approaches, land
the aircraft and apply reverse thrust ( F2 key ) for
very very very short landings.

It is also possible to park the airplane "backward" on a
tarmac just like the real bird by using light F2 / F3 keys.

I am just hoping that the next "Premier" project will be the
Buffalo's succesor for the Canadian Air Force SAR duties :

The C-27J Spartan ;

After another evaluation flight I find this to be one of PAD's finest offerings to date. Glad to have it in my hangar. Throwing the throttles in the Beta range upon touchdown brings it to a halt right quick. Very cool - the biggest STOL bird in my fleet now! Mike :applause::ernae:
