Panel aliasing

I just downloaded the Legacy 600 from project opensky. I think that is done for FS9 but it seems to work OK in FSX, I love the way that the model looks, but wanted to use the panel/vc from the FSX default Lear 45 rather than the 737 panel that the download came with.

I modified the panel config file to read:

[fltsim]
alias=Lear45\panel

but all I get is the 2D panel (with no side-views of the flightdeck) and no vc, so I tried copying in the entire panel folder from the Lear and got the same result. Does anybody have any ideas how I can make this work? Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, you can swap out VC models, but it's done through the model.cfg file in the model folder. In the model.cfg file you will see a line such as: interior=J-20_Interior. "J-20_Interior", in this case, refers to the VC model, also located in the model folder. I also understand that this does not work with ported over FS9 planes...

The 2D panels can be swapped and aliased as in FS9.
