Spammers on flight sim forums....

I got two emails yesterday, notifying me of PMs on two other flightsim forums I belong to. In both cases, it was from the same "person", named: mignulikz

I made the mistake of opening the link to the first one, and it turned out to be a porn advertisement. I reported the second one as spam.

Just wanted to warn you folks. I haven't received a PM from this guy on Simouthouse yet....but if you get any msgs from "mignulikz", delete them.

If I do not recognize the sender to start with ... I don't open any email, it all gets deleted.

I don't care if it is the federal government telling me I won the lottery ... if I am not expecting email from them or I do not recognize the sender's address, I don't bother opening it.

That's probably why I'm still poor to this day.

i got one from a flight sim sight i haven't visited in over a year, just last week. funny you should post this was it the flightsim network?
 
Don't click on the link. I guess it belongs to a bot net and tries to infect your system. Maybe it has to do with Conficker.
 
I just got one from Project AI forum. Haven't been there in a LONG time. Thanks for the HU, Chief!
 
I normally would never have opened such a link, but it was from a flight sim forum, and never had a problem before. One was Combatace.com.

I also got one of these as a PM. Did not open it and let Panther know....I think he banned it.

Of course, he may have thought I was a spam and banned me....

IT'S ALL SO COMPLICATED!!
 
Mine also came from Project AI where I haven't been for a while, announcing I had a PM.
I normally never click unsolicited stuff, but this one had all the right forum information about me.
If it is a bot, it is darn clever and I am duly infected.
Some maintenance needed tonight.
