What are those jagged scribbles on the canopy? I assume they are part of the real bird, but what are they for?

They are strips of explosive tape that are 'blown' when the ejector seat is activated. This causes the canopy to shatter into small pieces just prior to the seat being fired. It all happens in a split second and this method is used as the canopy cannot be jettisoned as a single unit. The tape is used on several military jets.

It's the MDC (minature detonating cord) . It blows a hole in the canopy just
before the seat passes through it on ejection.

Beautiful model but I still get no real sense of acceleration from this one. I would expect the same effect I get from the F16 or F18 - that sense of being really pushed back into your seat when going from cruise to full throttle - this one lacks that completely.

I wonder if that's a feature of the plane's VC camera settings. In which case you could borrow the appropriate lines from one of the planes you mention.

I wondered too but I can't see which lines would need to be edited. It would make a big difference I think.

The T-45 doesn't have the same thrust-to-weight ratio as an F-18 or F-16, nor can it turn like one. I know a number of guys who got an IP assignment in the T-45 after flying the F-18, and they say it's a dog. It's a decent plane for training, but it's no fighter.

Of course it doesn't have the same thrust to weight ratio but one of the attractions of FSX to me is that even in a C172 you get some sense of movement when you push the throttle forward.

If you want real accelleration, get the F22 Raptor.
I've got the one from Alphasim. You just barely crack the throttle on take-off and you're doing overspeed in about ten seconds!!!
Hold on to your hats, actually, never mind your hats. Hold on to your pants!!!:isadizzy:

Anyway - Dino's modelling job on the T-45 looks superb!!!

The great just got better! Thanks for the HU, one of the few jets I regularly enjoy flying. If the VC were the quality resolution of the new stuff coming out for FSX, it would be payware proper. Not that it is not payware quality already, many I have paid for don't have a VC as good.

Great screens Vigilus and Roger.

Thanks Dino, superb work.

It is much improved over the first version I tried a while back. The same flight model issue is present. He fixed the yaw when using the rudder, but when you roll, the plane yaws a lot and feels like its sliding. I made a new flight model for myself a while back but I seemed to have lost it. It corrected this and was very enjoyable to fly. Maybe Dino can issue one more update to get the flight model to where it could be.

Thanks for your appreciation

All: thanks a lot for your appreciation and comments...of course the are some things that could be improved, as some of you mentioned, but it is nice to know that people are enjoying your work. Grazie!
