Hellcat

I've playing with the real flight Hellcat, here's a first result:

it seems there are little bits and pieces hidden in other textures, still looking for those.
Too bad they included the shine in the model, it looks good from certain angles, less so from others, and dull paintwork is not possible, same as with the Icarus Gladiator. Mind you, it saves me doing alpha, spec and alphaspec files...
Anyway, what do you think so far?

A few more details added, like the number on the wheel doors, painted the tailwheel hatches, resized the '111', etc.
Now I still have to find where to paint the belly tank and the bomb shackles...

What are the targets on the wing and fusealge???

British Pacific Fleet markings, it was thought prudent to remove the red bits to avoid them being mistaken for Japanese aircraft and add the bars so they looked enough like US markings to remove any doubt whose side they were on.

Very good Jankees - only wish the product would work on my system with the self shadows on!!

I know about the "targets", however many Hellcats bit the dust post war as target drones....

I do love the textures textures on the Hellcat, some of the best I've seen, especially with the shine, and that repaint looks quite nice as you can't go wrong with blue and white.

Very nice!
What i would really like to see personally though is a repaint of The Fighter Collection's ol F6F-5 G-BTCC based in duxford.

That shouldn't be too difficult, but I would like a nice close up of the markings below the cockpit. You find me that, and you've got yourself a repaint

Carriers? The recently released (two-three months ago) CV-6 Enterprise is a pretty good AI Carrier when used with the AI ships addon for control.

And two on of the right side, two because the closeup is at an angle and the other is a better profile but at a distance.
