How are the Warbirdsim FSX ponies coming along?

I am not stating that anybody has made you pay again if you got a computer. It was a rhetorical question gone wrong. Although you would not have to pay again it would be a hassle to contact customer support and have them issue a new key. I am sorry if people misunderstood what I wrote.

Ariane has an excellent security system for downloads... but it is VERY poorly written IMO. English as a second language? I feel fortunate they were accomodating with the back-and-forth emails needed to get everything sorted.

Bad reports about installation problems are usually put about by the ones who didn't read and need their hands held through the installation.

A brave thing to say to a bunch of (occasionally) spiky potential customers but, I think, 100% accurate. The argument that it's going to be pirated anyway is not really a valid reason to release it unprotected. I can't stop someone who really wants to break into my house, but I still don't leave the windows & doors open.

Given that it's been proven time and time again that people will have more problems the more complex a system gets, WarBert's comment about following instructions just adds to the argument that a complex system is both badly written and badly implemented.

Blaming the customer for the failings of the system a company has chosen to use is not a good way of doing business.

(Not that we actually know there will be any problems here, yet!)

I don't know, but I want to support John Terrell (Bomber_12th) and this aircraft. He has provided us with many great repaints in the past and all that work has always been free and absolutely first rate. This is a chance to pay him back and get his wonderful P-51 Mustang package in the deal, seems like a win-win situation to me.

I am willing to put up with a little inconvenience if it helps slow down the theft of copyrighted work and keeps John developing products for FS. Sounds like Warbirdsim are more than willing to support us if there are problems with the protection system.

Looking forward to this release. :engel016:

ditto here...to deal with the possible pain... be nice to support Bomber_12 for being so giving of his talent over the years. At such a young age too... I'm jealous. :icon_lol:

Absolutely

John's contribution is worth every penny/dime.
