Cat paint request

AussieMan

SOH Staff .."Bartender"
After WWII many Catalinas were sold to civilian owners, particularly airlines.

In Australia airlines like QANTAS, Australian National Airways (Airways?) later to become Ansett-ANA and Trans Australian Airlines (TAA) used them. TAA flew one in New Guinea and wore the registration VH-SBA.

Jeansy has done a version for QANTAS and I am wondering if of the talented painters here will do the TAA and ANA versions.

Also Adastra Aerial Surveys operated at least one Catalina.

Perhaps the most famous Catalina in Australian service was Frigate Bird II which G P Taylor flew from Australia to Chile in the late 1940s when surveying a Trans Pacific route.

Hoping someone can be of some help here.

Cheers
Pat

I have all of Matt's paints for the Cat and they are great.

I have googled the net but have found very few references to Aussie civilian Cats and some very poor quality black and white pictures.

I know the Frigate Bird II hangs in the Power House Museum in Sydney but mobility problems prevent me from getting there to get some pics.

If any person can provide some colour shots of the aircraft mentioned in my original post I would be most greatful.

Cheers
Pat
