Odd - I've just come back to the forum and clicked on my post, and it worked at once. Maybe someone else could try, please?

Your link will take a person to the Alpha Sim free ware page...but the links on that page are broken. They are linked to the library at AVSIM, which we all know is down.

I thought the AS B-24 freebie pack was on Flightsim.com, but all I could find was the FS2004 version...of course, I had to leave to take my wife to a doctor's appointment and didn't search through the entire search results for Alphasim.

The original CFS2 ALpha Sim freeware B-24 Pack can be found on Simviation.com.

Link: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=cfs&file=alpha_b-24_liberator_cfs2.zip

Once you download that pack, go to Flightsim.com and do a search for Alphasim. Find the FS2004 B-24 pack, and copy the panel folder from it to the CFS2 version. Then install the gauges from the FS2004 version. Doing this will give you the original panel and full gauging on the 2D and VC panels.

Thnaks OBIO - once the link led me to the page I didn't try to go any deeper. You wouldn't happen to have a link for the older Alphasim oldies, would you - ones that had gone from the Alphasim page? I used to have one, but lost it in a crash.

You can find a lot of the older Alpha Sim freeware planes here in our library, under AlphaOldies (as author). Some of these planes date back to CFS1/FS98 days...though they are all for CFS2 and up. I have done panels for most of the older planes and have them uploaded to the library (look under my name in the library).

Here's a link to the ALphaOldies collection here in the SOH/Combatfs library:

It appears that some of the older AlphaOldies (Alphasim) packages are corrupt. The Mig-17, Mig-25 and Mig-29 all came through as 0kb in size and when I tried to extract them I got a message the the file was either corrupt in formatted incorrectly. I will have to spend some time going through the AlphaOldies section and make a list of the packages that are corrupt, then dig through my discs and get those packages reuploaded if I have them....I am pretty sure I have all the AlphaOldies stuff archived. The Mig-17 I uploaded in an updated form with a lot of new skins, full panel, some MDL tweaks...so that one is good to go...just look under my use name for it.

For the Alpha B-24? Go to Flightsim.com. Download the ALpha Sim B-24 package for FS2004. Copy the panel folder into your CFS2 Alpha Lib, drop the gauges into your Gauges folder. That will give you the 2D and VC panels with full gauges.

Oh, the link for the FS2004 Alpha Sim B-24 package on Flightsim.com
