'Zune To Unseat iPod?'

the thing is, the ipod is pretty nice. the only real drawback i can see is, it doesn't talk to windows directly, and doesn't do windows media player. big deal. as much as i would love to see m/s get this one right, smart money says don't bet on it.

Let me get this straight...

Late in this generation Touch's lifespan... MS will release a Zune that doesn't quite match it... and expects praise?

Sounds to me like some marketing guru is suffering a rectal-cranial inversion!

AWWW!

Can we trust this people?

Eli

nope...

:kilroy:

From the proud producers of vista, the destroyers of Aces and Flight Simulator, come the new Zune to compete with iPod.

Reminds me of GM.

I just hope Win7 will do well... We need Bill Gates back!

i don't even know why MS keeps trying. Just bow down to Apple and use the billions they used to develope Zune into some more useful.

The only way they can win is by doing what they did w/ software. Bundle the Zune with Dells, HPs, etc. and force it into people's homes. Once someone already has a "mp3 player" they probably won't go out and buy an iPod. They'll loose a few hundred million doing it, but they can buy themselves into the market this way. This tactic has worked for them in the console space:
