Dino's F14D Beta II Shots

I have all AA and AF maxed out and a GeForce 285 with an i7 processor also, might make a difference, not sure? I'm using Windows XP Pro with SP3 also.
I've been trying a few things, in short, setting the video card to quality and setting fps to 30 instead of unlimited, seems to improve the image. But it is a pc of lower ability, some three years old and a closeout back then as well. My laptop is of older quality and definitely not as good as the desktop. The laptop is used to send screenys on the net so I should think image quality suffers. The same image is much better on the desktop and its LCD. I can't match your quality but I've learned more, thanks to you and yago9.
:icon29::guinness::icon29:cheers to ya :ernae::guinness::icon29::guinness:

Wing looks too thin/fueselage too thick?

wow this is way cool! :ernae: I'm a retired navy jet engine mechanic and worked on these beasts for almost 22 years! I'm just getting into flight simulator X world and finding a freeware Tomcat is just a dream! Since I looked at them almost every day, i'm quite familiar with the shape of the bird and pardon my saying, but the wing root where it meets the fuselage just doesnt look right. Sweet work on your model!!! I'm about to go on vacation and when I return i'm sure i'll have a treat to play with! :applause:

here are some pictures:

Also note the 4 longitudinal strakes are a little too tall/thick...but thats small beans!!! ;)

Thanks

Thanks for your comments and appreciation. I'm making small tweaks to the visual model and some major changes to the flight dynamics in these days....you may have to wait another week or two before it is released.

@bob1009vf101
Thanks for your comments. I think you may be right in both cases.

As for the wing root thickness, I just finished a minor modification which should mitigate the issue. Remaking the wing root at this point would be too time-consuming fir me right now. As for the pivot, it shows when the wing is swept.

Also, the strakes have been just scaled down.

Will need to make more testing to see if these modifications have no weird side effects (and they usually do...) :)

Thx for all your hard work Dino! :applause:

Always fun to see a master craftsman at work... yep during development and not just the released product.

Any new pictures, beta testers ? think we could get a few more of the VC in more detail ?

Thanks for the WIP shots, everyone ! It looks better and better with each posting......:applause:
