Just got it installed, and have a couple of questions.

1 Is there a way to lower the plane,it seems to be a little high.

2 Why dose the F-18 slide to a stop

3 How come my aircraft bounce when taxi/takeoff.

Thanks.

1. Retract the land gear.

2. Landing gear not extended.

3. Wheel chocks have been glued to the tires.

Happy Flying! :monkies:

1- try ed both...
2_No chocks and it dose not snow in Hawaii, gear is down ( I think) is that the lever under the spin cycle lever....?
3-Checked the air pressure, and my girl removed the chocks.

1. Which plane?

2. Acceleration F-18 is one of a kind. No other FS Aircraft can uncontrollably skid all over the place the way it does! Even more amusing, nothing can be done except modifying wheel contact points and brake pressure resulting in unrealistic skid/touchdown visual effect and ridiculous stopping distance.

3. Which aircraft and where? If on the carrier, that's a bug. Happens on all moving landing surfaces. There is nothing that can be done about it. If on the ground, either your aircraft contact points or the scenery are messed up. Both can easily be fixed.

kavehpd thanks for the reply. The plane is the F-18 it looks to high off the ground. Like the landing gear is to long.May not be much anybody can do.From pics and seeing an F-18 it looks to tall.As far as the bounching when the plane is on the ground I hope there might be a setting off. Thanks

Backup your Aircraft.cfg. Scroll down to the [contact_points] section and replace the first three entries with these.

They address the height issue and make your aircraft look more visually realistic. But also affect the bouncing and Damping of the gears (nose will sink in on carrier arrests). There are more coordinates if you search around. But these "look" better than others.

As for the bouncing thing, it's probably a scenery issue. Does it happen all the time and everywhere (runway, apron, grass, etc.)?

Will change config. The bouncing is on the runway and taxi way.I got the skidding problem fixed,I can now land at 200 ,step on the breaks and no skidding.I am still learning the how to with this sim.I have created a few planes but still working on the flight config. Thanks for your help, and may angels fly with you...
