I've just had two rides in this thing - way better than sex!
Had not many troubles starting the Fishbed up, once you got the sequence right, it's a piece of cake.
Flying however is a bit of a challenge, but I totally like that. She needs afterburner and quite a bit of trim to get off the ground and then, provided that you switch off the burner, handles like a 747 in the sub-400kph range, but just fine above that. You'll need to trim her well and adjust throttles to maintain a stable flight, but that makes flying the F-13 all the more interesting. When you come in for a landing, you might want to use the NDB navigation equipment on board to find the runway (as per the manual), since the forward visibility is fairly poor. Once you're lined up, you'll have to go back into that dreaded sub-400kph range for final, but as soon as the flaps pop out and the gear goes down, it's quite a piece of cake, as long as you don't lose sight of the runway. Slight throttle adjustments to keep a good approach speed and down you settle. Now it's the right time for the chute which considerably shortens your landing roll.
If you, however, decided to keep the 21 in full afterburner after take-off, you signed in for a Starfighter-like ride. It's either straight forward at an insanely high speed or up,up,up - at an insanely high speed. I managed to hit 50000ft after a ride that was a mere couple of seconds. You need to be careful though, airspeed starts to bleed off after that quite fast. If you're not careful enough, you'll hit about 75000ft, stall and then tumble down to earth while desperately trying to regain control. At least you can eject once the situation gets out of hand.

Oh, and always keep an eye on your fuel gauge! The Fishbed isn't the most economic aircraft, especially if kept in afterburner!
Anyways, here's some screenshots from those two flights. Note the brake chute and "maintenance mode" in the last two shots as well as the engine smoke.
This aircraft rendition is nothing short of a masterpiece! Payware quality!
And excellent performance for a portover!
All it needs now is some nice repaints.
Yago?!?
Please?!?
Pretty please?!?

Like a LSK (East German AF) repaint in bare silver and/or camo?
- Edit: I wonder if the author is going to do ther versions as well.
