-----------------

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009.

The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia.

A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

This is what happened that day .....

From about second 10 of that video, to the end, and while I am typing this...tears have run down my face. A most touching video and a most fitting tribute to one of our fallen sons/daughters.

All gave some, Some gave all.

If I had my way that would be mandatory for every person in the country to watch.
It's hard to type right now because I'm having trouble seeing the monitor...

Many thanks for sharing that.

Absolutely one of the most touching things I've ever seen - thanks for sharing.

And if you look closely at the beginning, you can see members of the Patriot Guard also riding escort!:medals:

Must be nice to live in a place where being an American still counts. I live out here in 3rd World Hellhole District 16 (L.A. County) where nobody cares about the country they live in, or those who fought for it.

Between my brother and I, we've known enough people that've given their lives for their country in this war that we both avoid watching these kinds of things. What makes it more difficult is that most tributes these days are patronizing and selfish. It gets me angry in a way I don't need to feel. That's why I took a difference to the thread posted here a long time ago about the teachers and the chairs.

This video was different; none of these people came for any other reason but to pay their respect to this man. I appreciate you posting this, Snuffy. I really enjoyed that there are places where Americans appear in large numbers on their own accords, filled with nothing but good intentions.

Thanks for posting this! :medals: A fitting tribute to a fallen hero. And thanks to all who wear the uniform. Words cannot express my appreciation for all you do... :medals::USA-flag:

Almost the same thing just happened in Peshtigo, WI. That's about 45 miles north of here. Was all over the news. People do care! Don't listen to the crap some media puts out.

RIP. It just shows us that there are a lot of loyal REAL Americans still left in this country! Regards, Bob.

Thanks for posting that Ted. Had me reaching for the tissues.

As I was watching this Sky News Australia has just rported another brave Australian soldier has given his life in Afghanistan while another suffered life threatening injuries.

Cheers
Pat

I to live in the L.A. suburbs. Most here are illegal aliens and non-English speaking immigrants. It's a real shame! Regards, Bob.
