Naval Outlying Field Spencer (NRQ) released

Luddite in Training
I just finished uploading NOLF Spencer to Flightsim and Simviation. It should be up this weekend sometime. To refresh your memory, NOLF Spencer is a rotary wing NOLF associated with NAS Whiting Field. It's somewhat famous in the Flight Sim world for having its runways laid out in a Star of David pattern. Now, I've modeled two of the four rotary wing outlying fields associated with NAS Whiting Field: Site 8A and NRQ. The remaining two, Harold and Santa Rosa are yet to come.

Enjoy!

Thanks Jim. When I lived in Pensacola we used to fly R/C here some times on the weekend.
Brings back memories.
Thanks. :applause:

Thanks for this great scenery Jim, as a former USN guy and real-world helo driver it is great to see sceneries like this come to life.

Could I persuade you to do a NAS Point MUGU / NASWC scenery - a historical US Navy Base that would please alot of us for FSX.

Of course, not the modern one, but rather the base as it appeared in it's peak in the early 1990's when VX-4, HCS-5, VXE-6, VP-65 and my old squadron VFA-305 were still active, not to forget VAQ-34.

I'll bet that was good living, what an awesome area.

Oh Yes, so many exotic USN test aircraft, QF-86 drones, F-4 Phantoms, active Hornets and Tomcats - A-7's .... so many more ...

Not to forget the private beach on base to surf at!

Best assignment a Navy brown shoe could hope for!
