Extra sounds for Thrawn's Nimitz

This could go in the existing Nimitz thread, but since that's getting long and some folks may have stopped reading it -- who really want to know about this fix -- I'm starting a tiny, independent thread.

If you're using Javier's Nimitz -- probably my favorite add-on of the year so far -- do yourself a favor and install the tiny sound files provided by Wingmate here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showpost.php?p=203074&postcount=342. I thought I did this, and kept wondering why I still wasn't getting any sounds when the JBD went up for cat launches. Checked, and I hadn't installed the fix after all; must have just looked at it and maybe got interrupted. In any case, do it. It's easy and, not only will you get your JBD sound back, but more importantly you will get the big catapault "woosh" sound back that you forgot about from the Acceleration carrier...

Do I just place the two files in the sound file?

Put the two folders, sound and soundai, in your USS_NIMITZ folder.

It's interesting that the Nimitz doesn't have these folders by default; it has sound files, but they're in the main FSX sound folder. Don't know how it calls them, but adding these two folders does not seem to interfere with the Nimitz's own sounds (e.g., the launch announcement or the mule truck).

The Nimitz's own sounds are called from effect files fx_carrier_helo, fx_carrier_mule, fx_carrier_PA, fx_carrier_rumble, fx_carrier_wind, and fx_carrier_waterloop
If you have the FSN alpha carrier and like the sound of it under way backup your fx_carrier_rumble then unzip the attached folder and place the new effect in your FSX effects folder.
