• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

A get well gift for Ickie

Ickie is still in the hospital and about to go nuts.He is going nuts because he can't see what is going on in here and is worried about the site.....lol. In the moderator forum Henry made a suggestion to buy him a Acer laptop, it sells for 300.00. The monitor replacement I had a month back only collected a tad under 300.00. I still would like to get him a large monitor because he is the one who looks at it for days when our site goes down or needs maintenance. I know money is tight all over, so it is ok not to donate, but I will leave it up to you guys. If you guys won't to do this while he is still laid up in the hospital we can pull the both off and have the Laptop delivered to him and the monitor shipped to him. The slow thing about it is when I order it through Tigerdirect or Newegg both will only ship to the address that the buyer has listed. I think the idea is great. He should have a laptop for when he is away. He massively deserves it.

Is it possible to set up a quick link to PayPal for this? Moe, if you have a PayPal account, I think you can create a quick Donation link that would go right to your account. That would save us all time.

Thanks Ted... like I said in out admin. and moderator forum. I hate like hell asking for money from our members. I have never had to do this before and I don't know how the members feel about me handle there funds or donations.I know it sounds stupid, but that's me.. I think if we can pull this off I am gonna post a get well card and have everybody sign it. Ickie is the heart and soul of SOH and he puts in more time than all the other members, admins and moderators combine. When this site fails, he is the one who takes care of the problems and puts in the countless hours. I know when this site fails I get plenty of email wondering what happen...this last failure was a long time to come...lol. But Ickie was the only one who stayed up all night and day trying to get us back on line before he went in for the operation......now that is nuthin but pure dedication in my book.:applause:
 
Man, I thought I was almost there Wednesday night due to the "small" hassles I had been experiencing with my one tower. But with all the crap Ickie's had to deal with, I feel "small" myself now. Truth is, I'd more likely wind up at Southern VA Mental than having heart problems.

Prayers going out Ickie, you take care man, I have no doubt the stress you have had to deal with keeping us mongrels happy over here at SOH didn't help.

Moe, keep us informed.

I wish I could meet this guy , I would like to thank him in person . I might even bring my old Fender guitar(Mustang) that I havn't touched in ten years . We could do alittle picken and grinnin while slurping down some beer with a raw oyster and tobassco sauce . Great idea Mike . Count me in .
