Warbirdsim FSX Mustangs!

incredible, I cant wait for this one!

How does it fly in FSX? I know FSX can create some problems when it comes to aerodynamics compared to FS9.

Hello WarBert,

Are the FSX Mustangs still in production? I'm sure many of us are looking forward to them! Like the real bird, testing seems to take longer than building....

I recall a post a while back that John T had finished the FSX Mustangs and Warbirdsim were working on protecting it with a more secure installer than the FS9 version had - something like that anyway. The 'newswire' on their site hasn't been updated for nearly a year and I've about given up on this one. It'll be a lovely surprise if it does appear, though..

Seems like another example of honest paying customers suffering because of criminal scumbags..........I've lost interest!

I agree with you there Mudmarine. They have lost paying customers while trying to protect their product. I wish them luck but I think that they have lost a lot of their customers due to 1. the wait, and 2.The crazy security measures that will just be bothersome to paying customers. We shall see but judging by the former thread's response, a lot of people have lost interest.

They have to do what they think is right, it is their product. I don't want to see them punished by crooks but there has to be a blance in there somewhere? I do think it has hurt future sales which is too bad; or I'm wrong? I just load up FS9 and fly their Stang, it is a beautifully done bird!

I think that's part of the problem - no-one is saying anything. People can be amazingly patient and understanding if you keep them in the know, but you can only stay interested and eager for so long once the information dries up. There are several great releases competing for my £££.

My question is, will the paying customers of the FS9 version (like myself) get any kind of price break on the FSX native version? Not to split hairs or sound ridiculously tight wadded but the models for FS9 were in my personal opinion slightly expensive even given the great attention to detail overall. Having the model in FS9 and no issues with it, I would be hard pressed to spend full amount for a FSX version for a little extra eye candy considering the 9r version is well stacked in that regard. Just curious to know what WBS is going to do on this?

I entirely agree. It's good the fire's been re-ignited under this one but the cost of the original full package was £50 and I doubt I'd be willing to spend anything like that again to upgrade to FSX. A2A's fix for the WOP 2 P-51D was free; can the same not be done with this one?? Sure, a bit less eye candy but the sacrifice would be worth it IMHO. And all the re-paints will fit!!

FSX Mustangs

Ladies & Gentleman,

Nobody is more anxious than us to get this product out to you.
As has been pointed out because of the ongoing piracy we all face, which is only a handful of people, we are trying to protect our product and regretably this has caused people to lose interest as it has taken a very long time to get right. All we can do is apologise and hope that you will bare with us.

For the record, John's work was completed back in February and it is of an incredible level. He has in our opinion the best eye for detail and accuracy that we have seen in any modeller. He has the same outlook and goal as us,when we launched Warbirdsim, to produce the finest and most accurate looking, sounding and performing Warbirds available.

Obviously people are frustrated that it is not ready yet, but we have to be sure that when we release, it is not easily crackable and able to be copied. This has created problems which will be solved, maybe this week maybe next month, but it will be released when it is ready and then we can turn our attentions to our other projects, some of which are very close to fruition.

We will try to keep you all updated more often and thanks to everyone for their positive feedback on our first release.

Wow....February!:isadizzy: Let the innocent "suffer" for the greed of a few. Got to say I'm pretty torn over what to do with this one? Love the FS9 version and I know what a pretty FSX model it'll be! But I'm getting sick of paying the price for people who won't pay the price, if you know what I mean.

Is waiting really 'suffering', though? I dare say it's not.

Kudos to all involved, it'll be worth the wait.

It's not that's why I put it in quotes.........:isadizzy: Anyhow the point was more about theft in general than "waiting" for a FSX addon.......get it?

The sad thing is that it will be cracked at some point..... thats the part that sucks. but i am really looking forward to this bird! hope you guys release soon!

wow, six months extra just to make it 'crack-proof'...apart from the work beforehand. In the end, the protection is more work than the aircraft!
The FS9 version protection wasn't good enough?
Oh well, we'll see it when we see it, though an update here and there might be appreciated.

I hav'nt really been following the development of this project. Is the FSX version native, or is it simply a tweaked import of the FS9 original?
