A privately owned A-4 Skyhawk? :isadizzy: I suddenly feel old. :icon_lol: Great pics! A nice shot of the ol' Breezy (the tandem two-seater in pic set #4). I can't imagine flying a Breezy to Oshkosh...unless the flight originated maybe from Fond du Lac. :icon_lol:

Still reckon Virgin Galactic fits the spirit of EAA more than anything else I can think of...reminds me of a BAe 146 on crack.

A NZ inventor went to Oshkosh with a strap-on jetpack.

It's on way more than crack... its a rocket by itself. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it climb like it did. They said it has a thrust weight ratio of a fighter jet... :isadizzy:

They didn't bring the "jet pack" this year. Said shipping cost too much.
I was there for the unveiling last year. I have to say I was disappointed when they finally fired it up. By the way people were looking at each other, I think a lot of people were. It's ducted fan powered. Sounded like they were starting up an R/C plane. My brother said they should have called it "a fanny pack"!
 
I wonder why two aircraft are painted as Old Crow. I assume all these owners know each other. The Jack Roush version has been around for a while, I don't believe I have seen the other one before.

One is "B" model, other is "D" model.
I believe, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, the Roush owns the "B" Model "Old Crow" and the "D" model "Gentleman Jim". I believe he sold the "D" model "Old Crow".
Both B & D models represent aircraft flown by Bud Anderson during WWII.
 
And a few more:
I believe the first one there is the only flying example in North America.
I think from Florida.
